What Is Knuckle Jet?

Knuckle Jet is an off-the-wall action platformer from Rain Games, the studio behind the acclaimed Teslagrad series. In this jetpunk nose-breaking ricochet adventure, you punch, blast, and ricochet through hand-crafted levels with tight physics-based movement. The game is scheduled for a Q3 2026 release on Steam.

The core loop is pure kinetic joy: punch enemies to build momentum, use your jetpack to reach new heights, and ricochet off walls and objects to chain together stylish combos. Every level is designed to reward creativity and mastery of movement.

How to Play Knuckle Jet

Movement is your weapon. Unlike traditional platformers where movement is just about getting from A to B, in Knuckle Jet, how you move determines how effectively you fight. Build speed by chaining ricochets, then unleash that momentum into devastating punches.

The jetpack. Your jetpack isn't just for double-jumping. It gives you air control, lets you hover briefly to aim your shots, and can be used to cancel momentum for precise platforming sections. Managing your jetpack fuel is key to survival.

Punching mechanics. Your punch is both an attack and a movement tool. Punch an enemy and you bounce backward. Punch a wall and you ricochet in the opposite direction. Master this to maintain your combo chain.

Ricochet system. The game's signature mechanic. Projectiles and even your own body can ricochet off surfaces at realistic angles. Chain ricochets to reach hidden areas, solve puzzles, and deal massive damage to groups of enemies.

Tips for Beginners

Learn to control your momentum. Speed is power, but uncontrolled speed kills. Practice stopping and changing direction quickly before you try to chain complex ricochet sequences.

Use the environment. Walls, ceilings, and environmental hazards are all tools. Lure enemies into spike traps. Use wall ricochets to hit enemies behind cover. Knock enemies into each other for chain reactions.

Manage jetpack fuel. Your jetpack recharges when you're on the ground. In extended aerial sequences, plan your landing spots. Running out of fuel mid-air means a hard fall.

Experiment with combos. The game rewards experimentation. Try punching an enemy into a wall, ricocheting off to hit another enemy, then using your jetpack to follow up. The combo system tracks your creativity.

Advanced Techniques

Ricochet cancel. Fire a projectile at a wall, then immediately punch in the same direction. The punch ricochet cancels the projectile animation, letting you hit targets faster.

Momentum transfer. If you're falling at high speed, a well-timed jetpack burst combined with a punch can redirect your momentum horizontally, letting you cross gaps you couldn't otherwise reach.

Enemy juggling. Some enemies can be launched into the air. Juggle them with alternating punches and jetpack boosts to keep them airborne while dealing continuous damage.
